Our Mission

We are called to be a growing church that connects people to Jesus, helping them become devoted followers who impact the world.

Who We Are

Faith Christian Church was founded in 1953 beginning with a mid-week prayer meeting by a small group of people who were believing for a move of God in their local community. Over the last 60 years we have had incredible Senior Ministers, including Ps Alun & Joan Davies who loved and pastored the church for 30 years.

Faith is one church that meets in multiple locations. We are passionate about people encountering the life-changing message of Jesus, we are passionate about making disciples, and we are passionate about helping our community – both locally and internationally.

At Faith you will find a passionate and vibrant church community that has a range of exciting programs and events. All of our Sunday services are energetic, engaging and welcoming.

We have four core values, that we believe are imperative to our life as believers:

Our Values

Our walk with God begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ that is intimate and life-changing. We believe God calls us to a life of devotion to His word and a position of surrender to Him.
As a group of believers from different parts of the world and different stages in life, we are all connected through the common bond of our faith in Jesus Christ. We are connected in heart, values and passion to God and each other. We are connected to the purpose of Christ and to the vision of building His church.
Acts 1:8 says “you shall receive power…”
There is power to live the Christian life! Our prayer is that every believer in our church understands the authority and power God has given us through what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross.
The purpose of discipleship in people’s lives is Godly fruitfulness. Discipleship is a process where God forms and shapes us for the purpose of being fruitful and productive for Him. We can be fruitful in all areas – serving God in our relationships, families, work and with our talents.

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

Senior Pastors

Matt & Franca Heins

Ps Matt & Ps Franca Heins share a passion for God and for the Church and believe in championing people to live out their best life with God. In 2010 they moved from Adelaide to pastor at Faith and in 2012 were appointed as Senior Ministers.

Ps Matt and Franca have been in senior church leadership for over 25 years. Ps Matt is known for his heart for the nations and his passion to see souls won for Christ. Ps Matt’s passion, hunger for the supernatural and practical teachings see him speak often, both locally and internationally. Ps Franca’s heart for people and commitment to raising the next generation to follow and serve God is evident in all she does.

Ps Matt serves on the Australian Christian Churches National Executive as well as being the State President of ACC Victoria. Ps Franca is the CEO of We Care Community Services, known widely in the surrounding community for Helping Hand Days that assists thousands of people each year.

Ps Alex Attard

General Manager/Executive Pastor

Alex is the General Manager & one of the Executive Pastors at Faith Christian Church. Alex and Sarah previously pastored a thriving church in Queensland for many years before moving to Melbourne. Alex has extensive experience in business and a passion to see the church thrive.

Ps Katrina Yassi

Executive Pastor

Katrina is one of our Executive Pastors and one of our longest serving pastors here at Faith, having a significant impact on the culture of the church. Both Katrina and Nawaf are passionate about the church and steward every area of ministry with excellence. In their spare time, they enjoy running and sampling some of Melbourne’s best coffees.

Casey Campus

Michael and Chiew Har are pastors of our Casey Campus. Michael and Chiew Har are known for their passionate preaching and ability to operate powerfully in the gifts of the spirit. They do a brilliant job leading our Casey campus and in their spare time they can be found sampling all the great Malaysian restaurants this city has to offer.

Ps Ramon & Bronte Raux

Lynbrook Campus

Ramon and Bronte pastor our Lynbrook campus. They’ve been part of the Faith family for many years, bringing a wealth of experience from their time leading our youth ministry and currently running our young adult ministry. With a deep passion for people, they love leading the Lynbrook campus and are excited to see the community grow and thrive!

Ryan and Rebekah pastor our Waverley campus. They’ve been part of the Faith family for many years and have a wealth of experience helping lead our youth ministry and Casey campus. Now, they’re excited to lead the Waverley campus, building a community where people can grow in faith and their relationship with God.
